Click Here for the 12 Days Page

As you can tell from the title of this entry, there's not a whole lot going on over here...;o)

12 Days of Christmas

Make sure you check the link in the navigation bar above, or click the picture to go to the "12 Days of Christmas" page.  It's your chance to discover new artists and get their records for free!  Don't miss it!

New Mexico Bowl Acoma Sky City Fan Fest

This will be our 3rd year in a row to play the Acoma Sky City Fan Fest before ESPN's New Mexico Bowl here in Albuquerque! If you're a Wyoming or Fresno State fan (or just a fan of college football in general), come on out to the Fan Fest before hand and say hey!  Dec. 19th, Fan Fest starts at 8am

Midwest Tour

Landon Smith and I will start our Midwest tour on January 7th, 2010!  We'll be playing dates in and around Chicago, Milwaukee, Cleveland, and Iowa City, so check the shows page to see when and where we'll be in your neck of the woods!

New CD/Record

I've been working on lots of new material for the new record, and the tentative title for the record is History. I'm about 7 songs deep as far as ones that I like, and would like to get to at least 11 solid tunes.  You can check out a preview of a song called "I'm Gonna Try" on the "Survey Says" link above.  All of that said, you can definitely expect the new record sometime in 2010 :o)

Thanks so much guys!  Hope everyone's having a great December and I'll talk to you soon!

Dancing on a Swimming Pool and 12 Days of Christmas

The Nat Ballroom in Amarillo, TX was an old swimming pool back in the 1920's and was converted to a ballroom later on.  I drove out to Amarillo with Jeff and Josh to play a concert and shoot an episode for "The Root 66" which will air on some TV stations sometime in May through July in 2010.  Here's the video of the journey out there and once we got there:

ALSO...starting next Monday, December 7th, I'll be doing a "12 Days of Christmas" run where I'm going to give away at least 12 FREE downloads of "Christmas in Hymns," the Christmas record I recorded last year.  More on that as the week unfolds, but just be ready for it in the meantime!  Enjoy the video and keep your eyes peeled for any lords 'a leaping...

An Almost Freebie

Hey guys,

Many of you know that I'm a big proponent of Amazon MP3 - they're offering a $3 credit towards anything that you purchase from the mp3 store!  Check it out:

Like I said, use it towards anything ya like, but if you haven't picked up my new singles from this year, the "Christmas in Hymns" record, or any of the other songs in my catalogue, here's a great chance to get some for FREE.  Here's the link to get to my Amazon MP3 page:

Rock and roll guys, happy Monday.

I Always Think...

...that around this time of year things will slow down because I'm not touring as much...and that always ends up being the wrong line of thought.  I just got back from the Northwest US (and BC up in Canada) and would like to thank all of the people who came out to shows, fed me meals, and were generally overall awesome!  Ya'll rock.

Now that I'm back home, I've received unofficial word that I will be working as a composer on a film (once it's official I'll tell you what it is), I'll be posting a FREE song download of a new Christmas tune I just did a version of (check out the "FREE SONG" page), playing an awesome full-band concert with my friends Landon Smith and Asper Kourt in Albuquerque at the end of this week (check out the "Concert Tickets" page to buy tickets to that), and working with a new booking agent who has been helping us with shows in the Midwest (check the shows page too - I'll post those up!)

In other news:

1. My fantasy football team is now 6-4, so it's looking like I may be poised for a playoff berth...we'll see how the next couple of weeks go!

2. I'm nearing the end of the 6th installment of the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan, I'm hoping I'll be all caught up by the time the 14th and final installment is actually released. Wish me luck.

3. I know that for The Well and for the main services at Desert Springs Church we're planning some awesome music-driven Christmas services, so make sure you don't miss those when they come around!

Whew - alright, that's the update for now, I'll keep you posted as more arises!

Northwesterly

I leave for the Northwest tour in one week!  The schedule so far has 3 shows in (or around) Vancouver, BC, a Rock the House concert and a public concert in Seattle, and a public concert in Portland.  I've still got room for one more Rock the House in Portland or Seattle, so shoot me an email if you or anyone you know would want to set one up!

I'm excited about this tour - this will be my 2nd trip to the Northwest this year, and I'm going to try to keep that trend of heading up there at least twice a year.  The biggest thing that anyone can do to help is come to the shows and bring your friends.  If every person that came to the last show brought just one more person with them, that would double the size of the show (I know, you didn't know I was a math major, right? ha ha)!  This helps to spread the word about the music, which in turn creates all kinds of new opportunities as it spreads.

Feel free to shoot me an email if you have any questions about the shows or any ideas on how to help!  Send it to:

Thanks so much guys, see ya'll up there in the Northwest next week!
